What is collected
When you make a booking, The Lash House collects your name, email address, mobile number, the service you booked, the date and time, and any notes you choose to share (allergies, accessibility needs, prior reactions). If you pay online, your card details go directly to Stripe; they are never seen or stored by The Lash House. If you contact Jiwon by email, that thread is kept for as long as it is useful.
Why it is collected
To run the appointment appropriately (allergies, prior reactions), send confirmation and reminder messages, handle rescheduling and refunds, and keep the records the Inland Revenue Department requires.
Who it is shared with
Stripe (card processing), Postmark (sending you transactional email), Google Calendar (so the practitioner does not double-book you), and Sentry (anonymous technical error reports). No marketing third parties, no data brokers, and no analytics-driven advertising.
How long it is kept
Transaction records (booking, payment, refund) are retained for seven years, which is the statutory requirement. Email threads and booking notes are kept for as long as they are useful, then deleted. You can request deletion of anything not under the seven-year retention rule at any time.
Cookies
Strictly necessary cookies are used for login, booking, payment, and security. The public marketing pages do not show a cookie banner and do not load Google Analytics by default.
Your rights
Under the NZ Privacy Act you can ask what information The Lash House holds about you, ask for a correction, or ask for deletion (within statutory limits). Email [email protected]. Jiwon will respond within 20 working days, which is the statutory cap.
Breach process
If a privacy breach occurs that is likely to cause serious harm, The Lash House will notify you and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner as required by the Privacy Act 2020.
Address and location
The studio is an appointment-only home studio in Howick, East Auckland. Please do not visit without a confirmed booking. Arrival notes are sent with booking confirmations.
